Kevin, another RFF member finally got round to showing me the picture of his legendary Leighton leviathan, caught a couple of years ago which weighed in at a whopping 16lb 4oz. They don’t come much bigger than this in Leighton! (or indeed most other venues!). Unfortunately I couldn’t scan the original so this is a photo of a photo taken with my phone camera. You get the idea though!
Incredibly, straight after catching this fish, Kev hooked into another, bigger fish which took off on a blistering run before eventually straightening his hook. Gutted! In case you’re wondering, no, I don’t know why he’s dressed as a cowboy 🙂
