Our little Fly Fishing Club, Roundhay Fly Fishers currently has room for a few more anglers. For what we believe is excellent value at £100 you get access to a mile of the River Wharfe near Burley and a beautiful, secluded stillwater not far from Harrogate. Our bit of the Wharfe is not stocked but produces some excellent trout and grayling each year and the reservoir offers challenging but sometimes very rewarding fishing for both brown and rainbow trout. For further details either reply to this blog post or contact me on Twitter @Mantog.

Hi, I have read with interest your comments regarding membership of Roundhay Fly Fishers. I am currently a member of Skipton Anglers and live in Ilkley and enjoy both river and stillwater fishing. In years gone by I have fished Fewston reservoir many times. Is your stillwater the reservoir situated below John o Gaunt reservoir just outside Harrogate?
I look forward to your reply.
Regards Keith Harrison
Hi Keith
We indeed have access to the John o Gaunt reservoir, the one below it was ours as well until YW drained it and knocked down the dam 🙁
Bob
Hi Bob,
Thanks for that info. If you are still looking for new members, can you give me info on the other waters you have and the cost of membership.
Regards Keith
